The stock remote is actually quite good, as long as you don’t watch TV in the dark (as it’s not back-lit and the buttons are not individually discernable). The option to “talk” to the box to get it to do stuff is cool and works quite well, once you learn the commands it understands.
However, like many people, I have a programmable remote and a single-button with turn on my TV, my AVR, the TV box, set the TV and AVR to the correct inputs (and the TV box too if I wanted), and even sets a Philips Hue light scene. I don’t want two remotes, but it seems the future is going backwards in this regard.
As an aside, as Logitech have stopped making remotes (so once mine dies, there’s no replacement), how’s the Sofabaton X1?
