Unexpected automatic channel switch of 5GHz Wifi

I have certain devices that do not support dynamic frequency selection (channel 52 ~ 64 and from 100 to 140), so in the wifi settings, I chose the channel to 44. But I checked the log of my sunrise internet box, 6am in the morning, there is an automatic channel switch from 44 to 108.

From this post, it looks like some service providers have channel optimization services, and is this the case for sunrise? As I only experienced this very recently, I suppose this is some newly added service. If so, how can I disable this automatic switch?

Advanced Settings / Wireless / Wireless Signal

Down the bottom, do you have “Channel Optimisation” enabled? If you do, disable it (and put the channel back to how you want it).

I clicked the gear icon for 5g hz wifi, and what I see is like this picture.

Oh, you have a different box to me. I have the Connect Box (like a white cuboid!). Sorry, I can’t help with anything other than the kit I have 🙂

Edit: I guess from your screenshot, click the “Basic Mode” top right and hope it says something like “Super Duper Mode” or some such 🙂

weijiang We have now set channel 44 manually. Please watch it for a while. Your log entry from 8.11.2023 concerns a manual change of the WIFI channel. This was not initiated by the modem.

It could be that you had contact with support and they made the change. In addition, we do not see any channel changes in the last few days. (You can see my adjustments from 20.11.2023 in the logs).
