Hello there!
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I seem to have a very similar problem.
I have a digicard, which I have owned for several years now. It has always worked flawlessly so far.
A month ago (more or less), I bought a new TV.
I made the mistake of plugging in the card before turning it on, so I never got any auth screens or similar.
I totally forgot to set up that aspect of the TV, until last week, when I wanted to watch something.
I noticed, that I had no channels and remembered that I had totally forgotten to do the channel search.
I did that, entered all the information provided on the UPC website regarding the network config, and it found all the channels.
However, whenever I select a channel, any channel, I just see the channel’s name (SRF 1, …) but it’s just black for some seconds and then my TV says “no signal”.
I tried factory resetting the card (through the TV menu), re-entered all info, and actually followed the process explained in the booklet I received with the card (channel search first, then plug in the card, then wait for the card to be recognized, etc.) but that didn’t work. TV does not react to the card being plugged in.
However, when I check the menu, I can see that the card is recognized, all info is there:
I tried updating the software through the TV menu. There it asks for the network ID every time, which I entered correctly according to upc.ch/setupid. But nothing more happens.
I also tried opening channel 696, as stated in another answer. It actually asked for the network ID again, and after that the current programme on the channel as well as the synopsys are also displayed. That was not the case before, I could only see the channel’s name. However, I still get “no signal” after some seconds.
Am I missing a step?
