Ho un vecchio gigabox di diversi anni fa, quando la compagnia è stata chiamata UPC. Di recente ha iniziato a dare un segnale basso. È perché l'aggiornamento della velocità? ho per ottenere un nuovo router? È fornito da Sunrise?

I am having similar issues….actually have 2 of those older UPC GIGABOxes and having slowing ans stalling issues. I recently got two wifi extenders and doen’t seem to be helping the intermitent signal issues. Possible to change my router as well (guessing I only need one, even though happy to return the 2nd one as well)

RicT We have just initiated a replacement for your modem. You will receive the new modem in the next few days. Please replace all cables and the power supply with the new ones in the package. Please let us know afterwards whether the problem still exists.

Daniele_Sunrise hello, I added a comment below, experienceing the same issues in spite of having 2 older gigaboxes and now two extenders. Woudl a switch to a new Giga box help, and if so is that an exchange you could help arrange? thanks

Hi Daniele I quickly installed the Connect 3 box and I had the same problem as rickT .
But now we are going on travel for 2 weeks, I’ll deal with it when we come back.
actually I didn’t understand what rickT means by “login again” - disconnecting and reconnecting from the cable?

I am now back. The connect 3 box gives a weaker signal than the Gigabox. I can see only 2 “waves” in the internet connection signal on my Macbook Pro running MacOs Sequoia 15.6.1. I used TechTools to measure the speed of connection: when I connect to the box through an Ethernet cable I get better than 1 Gps, but when I go back to the other room it goes down to less than 100 Mps ! plugging in an extender/repeater doesn’t make any improvement .
In addition I want to change the name and password to what it was before so I don’t have to reconfigure my printers and so my friends visiting can easily use the WiFi.
Maybe changing the name will make the device run better! (as suggested by RickT?)
PLEASE give me instructions how to proceed.

the signal is weak. actually it just fell when I was typing. also the name of the wifi doesn’t appear in the right place. anyway I want to change the name back it was with the old Gigabox so I don’t have to reconfigure the printers and the other computer and devices.
