Hello,

I have ordered the fiber (actually with coaxial connection) and I would like to use my own router (Banana Pi R4).

Which specs do I need for the SPF+ ?

Is 1270nm-TX/1577nm-RX SC/APC 20 km right ? Enough or I miss something ?

After quiete a long search it’s still unclear for me.

This will work, but not out of the box, you have to “hack” it to get it working.

Hello,

I still don’t have the fiber in my flat (no idea when Sunrise will come to install it) but I have received the Connect Fiber Box 3 and the fiber cable is too small to fit the XGSPON.

Any idea on what to do ?

I’ve been following the guide link provided and I can’t get it to work, I’m getting quite frustrated already.
I tried VLAN 10, 11, 131, I tried using the ONT MAC address, the Router MAC address.

Is there any way to troubleshoot?
@Dani_B maybe you can give me a few pointers? I’m connected to OTO 1. Do I need any DHCP option? I read somewhere (older post) that DHCP option 61 with value dslforum.org,Fast5360-sunrise may be needed.

I’d appreciate any help!

Well, desperate times, require desperate measures.

What ended up working for me was:
In the SFP stick use the router’s MAC and SN:

/system/misc
eqsn set "YCEC33333333"

mac1 get
pon_passwd set cc11bb5511ee
register_id set cc11bb5511ee
mac1 set cc:11:bb:55:11:ee
exeep_w8 0 "cc11bb5511ee"

On Unifi WAN set:

VLAN ID: 131
MAC Address Clone: <ONT MAC> (this is not the router's MAC)

I finally got an IP address and I got internet!

Two questions : do you have it with ipv4 or ipv6 (from Sunrise) ?

And did you bought another cable than the Connect box’s fiber to put in the XGSPON ?

I’ve been switched to ipv4 since last year, so I didn’t need to request anything now. Otherwise, you can call Sunrise and ask for it or create a new post and ask Daniele_Sunrise if he can do it for you.

I’ll try on my bananapi BR4 as soon as I receive it (no idea of the equivalent of your VLAN ID: 131 … MAC)).
