Do you know if recording/replay has also been fixed such that the Dolby Digital/Surround audio stream is kept?

Hi Daniele,

It's a long-running issue and there are threads on this, especially in the German language area. I guess I didn't explain it well!

When using Replay or watching a recording, there is only stereo (PCM) sound; the Dolby surround track is missing. It seems the Sunrise cloud doesn't store that sound track.

adrianlondon We still don't have Dolby on the app – you're right about that. I can't tell you yet if and when this will happen. DD is included on TV boxes for replay and recordings on most channels.

I don't use the app.

I have the TV box (not the IPTV one, but the model before), and watching a recording or using replay I only get PCM. Switching between live TV and the same film but in replay, the sound is very different.

Maybe I need to try a Swiss TV station instead of a UK (BBC, ITV) one!

Maybe it's just some UK channels?

Right now on BBC1 ... "Morning Live" I'm getting "Dolby Audio - DD" sent to my Denon AVR.

When I select "watch from beginning" - hence using Replay - I get "PCM" sent to my AVR.

I tried with SRF 1 (Rosamunde Pilcher, EP110) and that seems fine! Dolby Digital/Surround on live and replay.

Why is Dolby Digital not available for Replay and Recording, or for live IPTV, on some channels? The source signal does have a Dolby Digital audio channel. There are channels where it is possible (e.g. SRG).
