vstadelm
Dear Daniele,
someone came again on Friday but could only observe the problem again, but not fix it. Update pending.
In the meantime I have been doing some research on my side and I tried “traceroute”.
For example to UPC.CH :
vstadelm@Vincents-Mac ~ % traceroute upc.ch
traceroute to upc.ch (213.46.237.24), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets

Some support sites suggest these lost packets could be due to Accidental Blocks by security softwares
(for example here: https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/server/ssh/read-traceroute/ and here https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/product-guides/business-shared-hosting/accidental-block-by-fail2ban/ )
Do you think this may be our case?
Can you monitor the traffic on our modem to see if such a repeating login attempt is running? or directly change our IP address to see if it resolves the problem?
Thank you
