After working with the new (IPv4) settings for 2 weeks now I can report that the wifi signal on my connectbox modem has been much stronger and stable. In fact, I’ve even resumed working on 5GHz which was impossible to get a stable connection on before (I had to connect on 2.4GHz on the old settings to get a reasonably stable wifi connection).

We have made the changeover, which will be completed in 30 minutes. Restart your modem afterwards. If you have problems, reset your modem. Press the reset button on the back of the modem with a pointed object for at least 25 seconds. Then please try again.

Could I kindly ask again for switching off my ConnectBox‘s ipv6? I have been having extremely slow wifi (especially for uploads) from my connectbox wifi again and noticed that the ip settings that solved the issue 2 years ago have been reverted.

@Daniele_Sunrise I am experiencing a similar issue with low Wifi Signal from my connectbox. Could you please change my router to IPv4 as well?

I would like to change my router to IPv4 mode. It also means that the bridge mode will be available, correct?

First of all I would like to inform you that I can understand your dissatisfaction with a not very stable WIFI very well. On the part of the network we could not register any interruptions.

The following tips could help to improve the WIFI:
- we change your modem from IPv6 to IPv4. Some devices and applications have difficulties with IPv6
- the conversion requires a restart of the modem with possible reset and takes 30 minutes
- you could then try to reposition your modem
- finally, you can download the UPC Connect app on your cell phone and measure your WIFI
- there you can order a Bosster, which amplifies the WIFI signal

Thank you for the reply Daniele_Sunrise . Then I might be having a different type of issue. The slow wifi performance persists. What do you suggest to try next? Should I open a new thread?

zhuser I recommend you to connect the three devices to the 2.4GHz WIFI. If this doesn’t help, then I recommend installing the Conenct app from your phone’s app store. With the app you can measure your WIFI at home. If it is bad, you can order a Connect Pod for free, which will extend the WIFI signal at your place.

The device I was testing on was already on the 2.4GHz. I’ll check the Connect app in the evening and report back tomorrow.
