Hard to tell if it’s the Connect Box or the TomTom causing the issue.
Please check the security settings for the wi-fi on your modem. Set Security to WPA2-PSK. Instructions can be found here. Also make sure to use the correct password.
If the problem with the TomTom persists, you can try and disable security, just for the update. Enable it again when the update is done.
