Everything seems to be correct with the SMTP server, except the security protocol. Can you please select SSL or TLS here?

This is irrelevant. The configuration is on the printer, not on a computer or telephone. I have no issue with the email addresses otherwise.

unfortunately my DCP-L3550CDW doesn’t support scan2email so I can’t test anything.

According to Brother you can try to change the Gateway-Timeout to 60 if the problem still exists.
This setting can be found under Network / Wired or Wireless (according to what you use) / Advanced Options

Sorry to hear it’s still not working.

For your MFC, I found the FAQ’s. Not sure if you looked at those already.

I remember a time when I was able to Scan to Email with my old Kyocera MFC. But one day it stopped working because the MFC was missing some protocols.

I get an error when trying to scan2email from the printer (erreur envoi) and the test from the web does not respond when testing the receive and when testing the send it gives the following error:

jpaquie Unfortunately I have no further tips. I would have to be on site to test everything. I also don’t see where you can enter the port for the SMTP settings or how they are set. In your pictures I only see the POP data.

Can you please upload a picture of the complete settings for SMTP? Perhaps this are all settings you have?

Also check the timeout settings and adjust it to 60 seconds.
Click on Network at the top of the page.
On the Network page, click Wired (or Wireless) => Advanced Settings.
Change the Gateway timeout value to 60.
Click on Send.

You see all settings in the attachments I sent previously. I have tried all combinations and nothing works. I also changed the Gateway timeout from 5 to 60 sec, but it did not resolve the problem:

Summary:

SSL/TLS works with Port 465 but not with 587
STARTTLS Works with Port 587 but not with Port 465.

I also asked Sunrise what Version of TSL they support and I got this answer:

So if your Brother MFC only supports TSLv1.0, you’re out of luck. You would need a newer device supporting at least TSLv1.2 or you use a mail-server that still allows TSLv1.0 to be used.
