I have the Sunrise DSL-Offer with the Internet Box. I have the same installation since 3 years and never had big problems. Some months ago TV started to not work sometimes (mostly Sundays). Which could be fixed by a router reset.
Since several weeks I have very big internet problems. It does not matter if I change to a static DNS in the router or use the Sunrise Standard DNS in my log files I always get DNS resolution errrors. Unplugging them router for 1h sometimes fixes the problem. Over VPN I can sometimes not even log into my Box to restart it…
Even with a VPN to my employer (which should at least partially bypass the DNS problem), connection is slow and not stable.
I am at the end of my witts and wonder if I should replace the Sunrise Box with a PFsense or a Fritzbox. However the DNS problem might be on the Sunrise-side?
The log on my sunrise box is I had to “xxxx” some of the names
09.04.2024 17:06:34FehlerDNSDNS name resolution failure (1xxxxxxxx.in-addr.arpa)
09.04.2024 17:01:37FehlerDNSDNS name resolution failure (agdxxxxxxdc01xxxxxxxxx.net)
09.04.2024 17:01:36FehlerDNSDNS name resolution failure (agdxxxxxc02.xxxxx.net)
Other days like yesterday (Sunday) everything works fine.
