Connecting a 2nd router?

Hello,

I have my sunrise box in the attic and as I would like to connect some devices in the living room via ethernet cable I tried connect a TPlink Archer MR400 in the living room socket but in both of the sockets available in the living room it does not detect an internet signal.

Any ideas as to why this happens?

I tried calling customer service who told me I can only use 1 socket in my home, which seems ridiculous.

Regarding your post, i assume you have connected the TP LInk to an existing ethernet socket?
if so, there must be a central point, where all the ethernet cables terminate.

Best would be to have a plan of the network/cables in the house to give further assistance.

Hello,

That’s the thing, the sockets are DSL, I tried RJ11 to RJ11, RJ11 to RJ45 but it doesn’t work. Tried connecting a switch as well same result.

I saw a post that mentioned sunrise only provides the signal trough one socket which is absurd, on a three floor home I’ll always have dead zones and wifi boosters from experience are not great.

I figure I have to install ethernet sockets but I would like to avoid that bill.
