pezzis Daniele_Sunrise I made a restart of my box. But now I have some trouble with the DNS server. For example I’m able to ping 8.8.8.8 but not www.google.ch. Could you please check if the configuration is fine. Thanks!
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis Did you also reboot all your devices? This is important because they can still be IPv6 as well. Greetings Daniele
pezzis Daniele_Sunrise thanks after I reebooted my switch it’s fine. I’m always not able to access to my devices inside my network from internet. Is the firewall configuration not correct? or could be a problem with the dynamic DNS(dynu.net)?
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis Which services need to be accessible from the outside and how exactly are you trying to access them? Greetings Daniele
pezzis pezzis For example I tried to access to my Home Assistant via the port 8123. I use the DDNS Server from dynu.net. To access from outside I tried to access the address http://myhostname.ddnsfree.com:8123 Best regards
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis Unfortunately I can’t check the ports on your modem. Was the port opened correctly and forwarded to the correct internal IP? Do you have any screenshots? Greetings Daniele
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis Regarding your Home Assistant, is it connected directly to the modem or is there another device in between (example: router, HUB, switch, etc.)? Concerning your NAS, is port 50xx open on your NAS on the Firewall? Greetings Daniele
pezzis Daniele_Sunrise My Home Assistant is directly connected to a switch and the switch to the modem. Yes the port 50xx is open on my NAS. I was able to access to both with my precedent ISP and no configurations changes were made. Regards
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis I have now added an option. The modem will reboot in a few minutes. Can you please try again after that? Greetings Daniele
pezzis Daniele_Sunrise I found my problem. After I added new rules under NAT, port forwarding I was able to access to my devices from internet. Under the firewall tab I deleted all my rules and it’s always working. There is not needs to open the ports on the firewall?
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis You need to open the ports only on the NAS always, on the modem only if the service must be accessed outside your home. Greetings Daniele
pezzis Daniele_Sunrise I want to be able to access to the service from internet (outside my home) and with the configuration I mentioned is actually possible (without firewall rules). Regards
Daniele_Sunrise pezzis In this case UPnP is active, which opens the ports automatically and closes them again when not in use. Greetings Daniele
