TV box with coax behind modem in bridge mode

Hi,

I have a connect box in bridge mode that is working very well. (It is behind a standard pfsense router).

Last week, I tried to connect the TV box with coax cable but it fails to connect. It continues to give CS1011 error – account not found. I tried a few times during 2 days. I have coax cable and ethernet plugged in.

Is it possible at all to connect the tv box behind its own router? Or is my tv box not properly activated? I did wait a month almost to test it since I have been watching via the Sunrise App mostly (which has rather poor image quality unfortnately).

BartV Yes this is normally possible. For initial setup it’s best to connect it via cable. You can also plug it into the CB directly, even if it is in bridge mode.

It turns out my TV box won’t connect even with a standard configuration (modem as router after reset, plugged in directly in modem) and after a hard reset of the TV box.

Sunrise is sending me a new TV box. Wait and see…
