The Mrs has a pathological hatred of “guys” coming to do things at the house, and as this, given the nature of the house, would represent a major “guy” intrusion, I suspect that she’d rather do without TV reception.
It’s a shame that you’ve given up on the old coaxial cable boxes, as these worked perfectly well. It seems that new technology often has the tendency to make things worse.
