My parents have an existing UPC Cablecom contract for internet-phone-TV and because they pay way too much compared to Sunrise, I helped them and called up UPC/Sunrise, to switch to Sunrise UP. No problem, we can do it blabla. They sent a technician to check the coaxial plug and updated it. And the next day, we receive an invoice from Sunrise for 350CHF for “Early termination fees”!!! No one told us there would be an early termination fees. I asked to be switched from UPC to Sunrise, since it’s the same company. No one on the phone mentioned this or even asked us to check when the current UPC contract was coming to an end.
Is this “normal”? is this how they consider being one company now? I will call them on Monday to complain and I will cancel my own mobile contract with them as well if they insist on charging this stupid fee. So angry right now and my parents are completely baffled.
