Hello,
I changed from UPC to sunrise and my connection now uses IPV6. I used the bridge mode before, but that does not seem to work with IPv6 (which I can live with and I have seen in other posts to that you can request a change to IPv4)
My issue is that I have a Synology NAS that i want to be accessible from outside my home network. I have assigned a fixed IPv4 address to my NAS in the past (IPV4 address reservation) and the simply forward the required TCP ports in the router.
My issue is that is that I can only assign a static IPV4 address (in the DHCP section), but the port filtering (forwarding) rules can only be defined for IPV6 adresses (iIPv4 port forwarding would solve my isseu).
Do I need to manually assign an IP v6 address to be able to do port forwarding. My understanding is that stateless IPv6 addresses can change (so cannot be used for port forwarding). Would stateful IPv6 solve my issue.
Any hints/suggestions are welcome on how to solve this.
