UPC TV Box won't start, led blinks RED

Guys from support please assist with the UPC TV Box it won’t start anymore. All is properly connected, restart and reset performed.
Power led on box blinks red, and a funny symbol like “downloading” is displayed several minutes on TV then nothing.

Hi, thank you for your question, I am connected through WiFi to the UPC Router; if you think it is helping, I can wire it, just to see if it is helping somehow.
Next and just for info, currently the box is completely disconnected as it was restaring in loop.

pebe Please connect the UPC TV Box with the LAN cable for the update. You can test a hard reset if necessary:

Hard Reset / “2-button-reset”.
Press and hold PWR / CH- while switching on the box with the toggle switch until the welcome screen appears.

Hi Daniele, it worked, thank you for the hint ! Great job.
Nonetheless, the setup is not complete, for an unknown reason, the remote seems to be not anylonger recongnized by the base, meaning it doesn’t work at all, cannot make any action with it.
I did change the batteries, I tried on the TV set (switch on/off), but cannot drive the UPC TV box at all.

Any idea ?

Please try a new pairing of the remote control. You can find instructions here. If this does not help, you can also reset the pairing. You can find the procedure in the manual.

Thank you again, just to make sure we’re on the same page, the “LiveTV” button “5” ?
It is not quite clear indicated in the manual.

Also, I see that you have had the UPC TV Box for a while. Are the batteries still the original ones? Do you have others to test?

Ok, clear now, indeed was the button number “5” , thank you : Great Support.

As for the batteries, yes, I did change them with new ones and the remote works very well on other devices (e.g. turns on/off the TV Set) .

I will try the manual pairing and let you know the results shortly.
