I meant router mode, not modem mode. I read it is possible from another answer of UPC staff. Which said to leave router off during night disconnected. But it doesn’t seem to work.

i wanted to ask, how to reverw IP on UPC modem/router when it is in router mode. Name of a router: Compal CH7465LG. I tried modem mode, then get new ip and then switch back. But i have still same external IP. Because it seems IP saved in router memory.

So i tried to disconect lan cable from router and turn it off, before end of IPv4 lease. And change my mac address on my nic. Then wait, after that time. Turn router on. Yet i have still same external IP!

I want to get new external IP address on this router. How do i do that?Do i need to disconnect coaxial cable too? Problem is: i don’t want to do that too often. This cable damages easily!

I had to switch to modem mode for something and now i need go to back to router mode. However i cannot access router portal. And i don’t want to do complete reset to not lose all setting. How do i access my router ??? I am using compal, not sure about model.

Btw is that any way to release ip in router ? I didn’t even find wan page. I wanted new ip from isp, but it was saved in router and i couldn’t get new one.
