what’s the difference in sunrise roaming package between “travel days” and “recurring options”, they both seem to give me a month of unlimited calls and data in the country I will visit, but big difference in price. What’s the difference?
I re-ran the UPC diagnostics to see what the WIFI comment was, and this time it came up all green…and more importantly, I haven’t had connection issues on my calls today. so maybe just this discussion helped fix the issue?!
Thank you (and Daniele) so much for your attention, patience and support along the way!
Thanks…tried it all and even did that Network reset you mentioned, and got this again:
“Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding. Contact your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) Completed. Windows can’t communicate with the device or resource (DNS server). The computer or service you are trying to reach might be temporarily unavailable. ”
…all out of options!
Hello and thanks for you note Cande,
I couldn’t find “Change connection properties” of the “IP settings” area you showed…perhaps different in Windows 10 Enterprise? Anyway, I did get to the “Change adaptor options” and then went into the wifi properties to turn off IPv6 (and ensured that DHCP was enabled and IPv4 had auto configure on)
After doing so and running the troubleshooter I got “Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding”
Hi again, apparently there were a ton of outdated drivers, which they updated.
I ran the troubleshooter again and got the same:
“The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken Detected Detected. The network gateway is accessible, but Windows couldn’t receive network traffic from the Internet. ”
Will see how it goes during my work calls on Monday, but running out of ideas!
Same errors whether WIFI or LAN
…well, I very much appreciate all of your support and willingness to help Daniele!
This Friday I will go into the office and see if our IT group can help. As long as it seems to be the computer and not the router or sunrise then hopefully they can fix it.
Thanks…an no, no swicth or any other device. Just the Giga router.
Ok, change the DNS settings (for V4, not V6) …ran the diagnostic, same error.
Not sure I understand what you mean by “switch”…
but my DNS settings look exactly like your screenshot, I have “Obtain DNS server address automatically” checked on both, so no DNS numbers there. Somewhere else I should be looking?
Hi, it’s the HP that has the interruptions.
I reset the network card, as per instructions you shared (thank you) …and re-booted and ran the troubleshooter, same message “The connection between your access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken”
Hi Daniele, I did as you mentioned: restarted modem, once back online connected and started my PC, still got the following messages.
During a conference presentation earlier today was told my video and audio kept cutting out .
Anything else I can do to resolve?
Just connected and got the following:
NOt sure if you can see that message?
Says: "your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding. Windows can’t communicate wit the device or resource DNS server)

Hi again…I had written after this, but not sure you saw details?
Bithdate: DELETED Acct DELETED Address: DELETED
“Issue found: The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken. The network gateway is accessible, but Windows couldn’t receive network traffic from the Internet. Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding. ”
So the signal is “optimally set”…but that error occurs, can I do anything? Any settings I can change?
Unfortunately LAN connection is not possible, but my office is 4 meters away from Giga connector box so shouldn’t be a problem, no?
thanks again
Basically I moved into a new home and upgraded to the giga as I work from home and connection is vitally important. In the last few weeks it has been terrible. I keep getting “internet is unstable” messages while on my zoom calls and this has been very disruptive. Is there anything I can do as my expectation from upgrading is that this would be a stable option for working from home.
Thanks in advance for the attention to this
