  • During the day BBC transmit their childrens channel, CBeebies, and in the evenings this changes to BBC 4.

But the UPC guide only has the Cbeebies programs, and from 8pm to about midnight, the guide says “Channel off air”. (Weirdly the programs after midnight are listed.)

This means we can’t schedule or record (or search for) any of the BBC 4 programs.

Attached a screenshot from the UPC guide, and a screenshot from the BBC 4 schedule.

UPC - can you please get the channel listings back?

      @roadrunner

That does seem to work - even the font changes slightly. Thanks!

Some channels (I’m looking at you, ITV2) like to split movies up by putting a short “news” program in the middle. Both parts of the movie have the same name. (See picture)

If I select either part and tell the TV box to record it, the guide displays a red dot on both parts, but when I try to watch the recording, it only has one of the sections (beginning or end, depending which one I hit the record button on).

If I try to hit record on the other section, it asks me if I want to delete the recording.

Is there a way to record a movie when it has been split like this?

I checked as many channels as I could:

      • I couldn’t find any affected german channels
      • English channels - affected are 216, 217, 219, 220, 235 (it might affect others between 220 and 235)
      • Could’t find any affected French channels
      • Italian & other - 508, 542, 831

All these channels have the same appearance for their subtitles, maybe there’s something in common in how they are being received?

Last night turned on the tv box to watch some recordings - and the UI was in German. Weird, I’d set it to English when we got the box but ok.

Went to the recordings - nothing there! And nothing scheduled! And replay was off (I’d accepted it when we got the box) so we couldn’t watch the programs we’d recorded that way.

Turned it on today and it’s the same.

      What? Help!

Hi Ahmet - yes, this problem is still happening on multiple channels - but not all. SRF1 is fine, BBC/ITV/Channel 4 channels are all ok.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Just got a TV Box, and watching a couple of UK channels (219 Dave, 220 Drama) noticed that subtitles often overwrite each other:

      Screenshot 2020-08-29 at 20.46.12.png

In this case, once character said something like “Well thank you, Roisin” and then the next said “Hey, you’re welcome” but the subtitles appeared like this.

It’s also chopped off on the left.

Anyone know where the problem might lie?

Try this, maybe the subtitles will be available correctly:
Start the program you want to watch as “Start Over” (Replay from the beginning). You can also do this if the live program has already been running for a minute.
