I moved apartments two weeks ago, and my new place only has a fiber connection. I still have the old Giga Connect Box from my UPC days, which doesn’t support fiber, so I placed a move order with Sunrise. However, on the scheduled move date, nothing happened—no updates in the MySunrise app.
I called the Sunrise support last Monday, and they initialized my order and sent out a new fiber modem. Unfortunately, it was shipped to my old address (where I no longer live), so Swiss Post returned it as undeliverable. I called again on Wednesday, and they assured me a replacement modem would be sent within one business day. It still hasn’t arrived, and the MySunrise app still shows the delivery link for the returned modem.
My questions:
Has anyone else had a rough start switching to fiber? Any tips for getting the modem delivered faster?
Can the Sunrise fiber modem be set to bridge mode? I’ve always used my Giga Connect Box in bridge mode with my own OPNsense firewall behind it, and I’d like to keep that setup.
