2.5 Gbps still not working

Hello. I have the “Up Internet L” subscription and few months ago I have received the message that now it will support 2.5 Gbps speed. I test my internet speed regularly and I was always achieving 1 Gbps speed with no issue but after the “upgrade” the speed tests did not improve at all. I suppose that somehow it did not refresh my connection. What is missing here?

Just to note:

I have read the https://community.sunrise.ch/d/37947-25-gbit-speed-what-should-i-be-aware-of
I use Cat 7 cable
I have bridge mode enabled
I do all my tests with the cable connection (not WiFi)
I have turned off my modem from power for 15 minutes and it still did not update

draharz As a first step I have deactivated the protect surf, because this is another protection layer, which then results in a double NAT with your own router.

Can you please test it again and get back to me. It is important that you use LAN 4 from Sunrise Modem. Only this has 2.5 Gbit connected.

Thanks. I can see the modem connection has restarted itself as well. Unfortunately the speed remains the same. I have Connect Box 3 and the cable is connected to port 4 which even has a label “10 Gbit”.

draharz The next step will be to hire a technician to improve the downstream signal a little. You will be contacted within 24 hours to arrange an appointment. Please contact us after the technician visit with feedback. After the technician’s visit, you can perform another speed test and get in touch. If you have the same speed again, we ask you to put the modem in router mode and remove your router and measure the speed via CNLAB and report back here with the CNLAN UID to analyze the test.

I’m using this box and my internet speed is awesome.

It turns out my PC network card is 1GB/s. Will check this again when I get better gear.
