  • Alternative to disabling Surf protect to make NordVPN work

Hello,

I have Surf protect active and it seems to pose a problem to NordPVN, which give an invalid TLS certificate error for a self-signed certificate by Secucloud (c.f. attached screenshot). Looking at other posts it seems that this is caused by Surf protect, which would make sense. It also seems like disabling Surf protect from MySunrise is a valid solution, but I would like to keep the extra protection as well as be able to use the VPN. Is it safe to trust the self-signed certificate, or is disabling Surf protect the only option? Thank you!

    Adel Welcome to the community!

We have uninstalled the Surf Protect, which will be completed in a few minutes. Can you please test it again?

    Greetings

Daniele_Sunrise The VPN now works, which is great, but the goal of my post was mainly to see if there is a solution where I can keep the protection and use the VPN. If this is not the case then I am very happy with the protection being disabled!

Adel This does not work. We have some customers who had difficulties to run the VPN together with the Surf Protect. That’s th reason, why we deinstall the option on such error patterns.
