Hello Daniele,
I did the factory reset option (press reset button untill LED blinks ~10secs).
I did the reset to default settings from the menu.
All the same. The router system protocol keeps announcing the following in the system protocol (see attached screenshot):
1970-01-01 00:00:16 System Warning Read config data file error
It defaults back to the date when UNIX was born: “Hello World” 😇
Since the router is not able to read its own config file, it’s fair to assume that it cannot write the adjustments. As a matter of fact, the proof is that it does NOT or can NOT write to the config file because the startup routine defaults to 3 mandatory actions, a) accept automatic updates between 3-5am, b) option the change WLAN SSID & PWD, c) change the admin PWD.
This router is a model with an OS modified by SUNRISE unfortunately without a menu option to reflash the unit with an original OS (version from SUNRISE of course). The current version on the flashable epROM is pretty much toast.
Can someone describe a proper way to follow the path of reflashing the unit (without breaking it).
As mentioned before: It runs, I can apply all sorts of adjustments which remain in proper operation until the device is rebooted or powered off and on again.
Please post back, thanks
