Hello all,

The monthly base fee for our subscriptions will increase by around 4% from July 1, 2023. The reason for this measure is the inflation-related increases in energy, labor, and operating costs, which also greatly affect us.

Like many other companies, we can no longer absorb these additional costs through cost efficiency alone and are therefore adjusting our prices. The price adjustment applies to the list price of subscriptions. However, there will be no price increases for prepaid offers, installment payments for devices, options and connection costs.

Further information can be found on the website.

Greetings
Daniele

would love to know where it’s mentioned that this could be done within a contract ( where is this info in the terms and conditions )

Has Sunrise proactively informed customers, by means of e-mail, of the price increase (which comes prior to the expiry of the contract’s 24 months!)? I do not remember any communication from Sunrise on this subject, while I receive so many useless communications from Sunrise on offers etc.

I only realized about this increase from this month’s invoice.

Certainly you find a justification for your increase in the NEW terms for old customers (as from July 1st 2023), so not the ones valid when the contract was signed.

This is extremenly disappointing. I had a different feeling and opinion about Sunrise prior to this.

@MicheleO .. exactly my point .. where does it says in the original terms and conditions that I signed up for ( mine was November 2022 ), that sunrise can increase the costs. !!

Daniele_Sunrise thanks @Daniele_Sunrise . the actual documents are at :

https://www.sunrise.ch/en/general/legal-matters –> Go to the General Terms and Conditions; Point 2.

Under point 2 ( amongst other things ) it says “. Sunrise may adjust the price for each service once a calendar year in line with the inflation” & “. In the event of a price adjustment due to inflation, the customer is not entitled to prematurely cancel the service.” … not sure about the point of “. The starting index is the level of the CPI on January 1st, 2024.” - meaning .. if its at beginning of 2024, why we got price increase in 2023 🤔

Daniele_Sunrise This is all very well, but wages have not risen at this rate! So covering these extra costs is hard. Will Sunrise prices decrease in 2024, when energy costs fall as they have done now?
