  • Lois On top of the monthly subscription that you see there, I also receive an invoice of around 122.65 CHF every 3 months for « raccordement câblé 3 en 1 ». So my total cost is 49.- plus 40.- extra (89.- per month).

    Is that what you meant?

  • Hi! Did you run these speed tests via Ethernet cable or wifi?

  • With competition now starting to offer 10 Gbit/s connections via Fiber, is UPC planning to upgrade to Cable protocol DOCSIS 3.1 (which supports speeds >1 Gbit/s) ?

    • Thank you ! Disabling “keyword blocking” in the Netgear R7000 router worked!
      Download speeds are now 628 Mbit/s 😊

    • Hello!

I am a customer since many years and I have been upgraded to the 600 / 60 package. When factory-resetting and connecting directly to the Connect Box (v4.01), I am able to get the advertised speeds of 600 Mbit/s in download and 60 Mbit/s upload.

However, when I use the Connect Box in bridge mode (IPv4) to connect to my own router (Netgear R7000), which is the set-up I need, download speed seems capped to 200 Mbit/s.

      Upload speed is not affected.

Is there a specific cap or limitation to be aware of when operating in modem mode?

      Thanks!

      Alessandro

      • occhia Mybe this can help:

What you are seeing is usually caused by turning on one or more features that disable hardware acceleration. These include QoS, MAC address filtering, MAC address cloning, traffic metering, PPPoE, keyword blocking, service blocking and maybe one or two other things I missed.

Turn all of these features off and reboot. Alternatively, do a factory reset and reboot.

With hardware acceleration, it should be able to do 900+ Mbps.

        Greetings
        Daniele
