I recently upgraded my internet speed from 400/400 to Gigabit. (they offered me a deal to upgrade for $10 more and I jumped all over that)
When running speed tests I am not seeing a noticeable difference. Only about 450mbps on various speed test websites.
I contacted Verizon and they are showing 950mbps connection from my ONT
Assuming this may be server bottleneck, I decided to slam the network, downloading different files from multiple different sources and monitor network traffic on the router directly.
I noticed that the CPU on the EdgeRouterX is pinned at 96-100%. My TX and RX rate isn’t going above 500mbps.
Could the CPU on this router be causing me a network bottle neck?
