Hello all,
For the past few months, I’ve been having an issue of the internet dropping intermittently.
After I reset the router to default settings, it seems to last about 24 hours until the problems start, then the internet begins to drop every hour or so, sometimes more frequent. Extremely disruptive when working from home.
I called Sunrise and they sent a new router (connect 3) but the problem is not resolved. The problem occurs whether I connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The light on the router also turns red when it happens.
In the router log I can see the errors, e.g.:
“No Ranging Response Received - T3 time-out”
“Ranging Request Retries exhausted”
“16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel”
We moved into this apartment in July and the internet seemed fine at the beginning, then from around November we started to suffer this issue.
The technician who set up our internet connection commented that the cabling in our building is not optimal so that may be related.
When I run the issue detection on the Sunrise website, an issue is found “Your line does not reach the expected speed”
Everything seems to point to an issue in my building, but as I’m a tenant I don’t want to be responsible for any repairs.
Has anybody had this issue before? Can Sunrise help me here? If this issue is not resolved I will unfortunately need to change supplier so I can use a different internet socket in the apartment.
Thanks for any help!
