Hi there,

Need your support to understand why I can’t get to the contracted download. speed, i.e. 2.5 gb/s. Can you check your network? I’m only getting 1.8 gb/s (have Cat 7 cable).

    The download speed also depends on the hardware your devices have build in or attached to it. It also depends on what speedtest you use.

    a widely used speedtest is cnlab UX Test

    The results I got on a USB 2.5Gbit/s adapter were around 1.6Gbit/s, using a 2.5Gbit/s PCIe 3×1 NIC on a workstation showed 2.3Gbit/s for the same internet connection, almost the maximum possible.

    Thank you for your feedback. Hardware and cabling should allow to get to 2.5gb/s. Results with cnlab gets only to 2.0gb/s. Any idea on how can I contact Sunrise technical support? Does not seem so straigthforward.

      Do you use a Windows computer or a Mac?

      I did some testing here

      From testing I can say, it’s important what type of network interface you use. Another important part are the latest drivers. Those that come with Windows don’t perform as expected.
