So like, when is the windows 10 app going to be available for download?

  • I finally got the app, with no thanks to, or help from, UPC or Microsoft. But there were a lot of steps…TOO MANY STEPS!

    First, to make sure I got to the correct pages, I googled “upc tv app”.

    Then clicked on this link:

    Then I had to click on the Microsoft store link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/de-ch/p/upc-tv-switzerland

    Which took me to this page that had a download link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/de-ch/p/upc-tv-switzerland/9pm3mvvcbzjd?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

    But clicking on the download link was useless because first I had to re-login to Microsoft store, even though I was already logged in!

    After logging in, one would think the download would begin. But NO, it didn’t. I had to re-click the download link. That still didn’t start the download. No.

    First I had to add it to my basket. Did the download start then? NO!

    I had to then go to “checkout”.

    And then finally there was a link to actually start the download.

    Seven to eight ridiculous, unnecessary steps to get the free app, all because it is unavailable through the Microsoft store PC app.

    I received absolutely no actual, usable assistance from UPC in solving the problem.

    *When will the Sunrise takeover be official? They actually have real support that helps customers, and gets the job done in a timely manner. I can hardly wait for the takeover so I can be assured of quality support!

If it ever gets fixed it will be fixed by Sunrise when they start running things. Cablecom/UPC support is, and has always been, useless.

There is no support contact listed in switzerland for the windows store. The chat bot keeps directing me to a windows store support page where the bot said I can speak with a real person, but there is no real person to chat with there. The only link there leads back to the chat bot, and round and round and round!!!

I have been a constant Cablecom/UPC customer for 29 years. I pay my bills on time and I expect MUCH better assistance. The upc tv app is your product and you are responsible for it, as well as the customer’s satisfaction.

Instead of telling me to get lost, why don’t you actually put the time and effort in to solve this problem?

@catflap , Please contact the Windows Support. On all our test computers we can execute the download without problems.

thanking me for what? still the problem is not fixed and upc doesn’t care to continue this conversation to fix the problem.

also, the app cannot be searched through the store. i can only reach the app page by clicking on the link which is on the upc website.

I can download and install any app from the microsoft store except this one. I have no restrictions. i have checked the troubleshooting directions on the link you gave me, but they are of no help. they either do not apply to the situation or when tried, do nothing to fix the problem.
