So my first problem is I cannot complete any order on the UPC website. I’m trying to sign up for a mobile service but it gives me a general error message of ’we are sorry but that products isn’t currently available in your area’ which doesn’t make any sense for a mobile phone service. I was in contact with someone by chat yesterday (option seems to have disappeared today). The person on chat confirmed the system wasn’t working but now I seem to get new errors and it’s more than 24 hours later.
Second, I went to a naxoo shop in Geneva to sign up in person and was told they could not give me a mobile phone service because my residence permit is a legitimation card. This is the system used for all international organisation staff in Switzerland so I’m having trouble believing UPC has a policy which does not allow all those people to sign up to mobile phone contracts. The person speculated that this was probably because some people didn’t pay their bills but I’m guessing it’s just that this isn’t an option on your system. I’ve seen this problem before but all other phone service providers do allow people with CDL to sign up so I’m sure UPC isn’t the only exception. Any help is appreciated because right now it’s impossible to actually sign up.
Also I’ve tried using the website by mobile phone and multiple different internet browsers on a windows laptop so it’s not just the browser.
