After no help in the shop and endless wait on the phone line just want to see if can get any help here. I’v started to pile up UPC bills (around 300CHF currently) even though I canceled back in Oct 2018. Some chronological background:
- October 2018 I submit request to cancel my UPC subscription.
- I get a call to confirm and the agent suggests another option to ‘pause’ my subscription without any obligation in case I am unhappy with my new provider for an year. I agree knowing that I can reactivate at anytime during that time, and if not considering it canceled.
- Agreeing on the ‘pause’ option, I am put on a 2 month notice period (this is important) and as of Jan 2019 my subscription is cancelled.
- January 2020 to my shock I get ‘you reactivated your subscribtion’ notification so I tried to cancel (again!)
- I get a call explaining I have to be put on notice period (again??)
- Meantime bills piling up until March 2020 already about 300CHF
I have few issues here: The pause subscription option reactivates automatically, while I really looked at it as cancellation with option to reactivate for free for one year, that is little misleading. Another thing are these notice periods, I was already on a notice period in 2018 in my initial request, so why I am put again on a notice period in 2020?
I am definitely unwilling to pay 300 CHF considering I have NONE usage (TV nor internet) since end of 2018 (now is March 2020) and will be unhappy with any other development. Lets see how it goes and I will keep updates.
