The speed without the internet is perfect. No complaints on that at all and the ping time is good as well.
My company uses PulseSecure client to connect to their VPN services. I talked to them and they said there’s not much they can do at this point and if I experience very slow interenet to try to connect to another server that might be less loaded at the time. Thing is I always connect to the same one (which is the closest one in Switzerland) and it’s never fully saturated so I don’t think it’s the server issue.
I just tried using my mobile internet as a hotspot and connecting to VPN (followed by doing the same on my UPC/ConnectBox wifi) and I noticed improvments. It was much more responsive and web pages loaded more quickly.
Last Thursday I got the new modem from UPC (changed a very old one Thompson-something to a ConnectBox) and since then things changed and got worse. So that’s why I thought it might be either the modem or my Windows10 settings.
I tried disableing the Ip4 firewall in the modem settings but that didn’t change anything. I further tried few things on my computer but nothing really made any effect.
