english audio on Discovery and History channels

Is Cablecom planning on providing english audio on the Discovery and History channels?

It’s really a pity that these two channels, among other original english language channels are not available in English audio.

the point is SRF1 is only that one channel in Switzerland. So if you would receive the SRF1 channel in northern america, its the one you see in Switzerland.

Discovery and History are more like a group of channels unter the same name broadcasted in different countrys.

in the US for example you can watch the us version of Discovery - in english!

But in Switzerland there is the German, French or Italian Version of Discovery - depends if your life in DCH, FCH or Ticino.

And if you receive the German Discovery the language is mainly in german and you see the german version of Discovery.

Its for shure the same channel logo and name but the channel is dedicated to the german speaking europe and has a different programming than the US one. And in that case it’s also transmitted in german. A english broadcast is not a must then.

So upc cablecom can only give you Discovery in englisch if Discover Germany (or France/Italy) broadcasts in english to.

Yes and in this case the broadcasters are originally english language broadcasters are they not? Discovery and the History channel. The original programming is in English.

It’s like offering SF1 and SF2 in North America in English and claiming that they are not available in German when originally they are.

It cannot be that difficult offering the original audio for these channels.
