I was on a 12 months duo package (TV and internet) which I cancelled well in advance of the end of the 12 month period to avoid paying extra fees once the 12 month promotion had run out. It now turns out that since my 12 months run out on 1 November and subscriptions can only be cancelled at months end, I need to keep the service 29 days longer than I want to and also pay 129CHF for this last month instead of the 49 CHF I normally pay.
After more than 10 years as a Cablecom/UPC customer I did not expect to be slapped over the head by borderline criminal tactics to punish me for ending my subscription.
I am anyway sending the equipment back now at the end of October and will go out of my way to avoid UPC in the future.
