We just finished the UPC Community’s makeover. On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, we will launch the responsive design. Besides a new look, you will also enjoy some new, useful features.
Our users @mesb, @Punisher, @TerrorZwerg, @TheSven, @thxkev und @tipptopp have been thoroughly and carefully testing the newly designed Community. As we fixed the bugs found and tried to respond to as many usability requirements as possible, we are now happy to present to you our responsive Community. On this occasion we shall extend our warmest gratitude to our engaged users for their appreciated support.
Happy to introduce the responsive UPC Community offering new features.
The migration will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, between 08.00 and 09.00h. As we restart the Community, it will not be accessible for some minutes. Your login credentials remain unchanged. Should you experience some trouble accessing the Community, please delete your browser cache, refresh and try again.
New features at a glance
Besides the new responsive design, you will enjoy the following new features:
- Lean Content Structure: The community news and threads are now grouped in the four categories „Television“,„Internet“, „Phone“ (fixed line an mobile) and „Services” (questions re. your subscription/invoice, off-topic lounge, archive etc.).
- Latest News: The entry page works as a news portal. There you will find the latest news and solutions as well as the most popular videos.
- Mobile Usage: On the go and still want to use the Community? Now you can! Browse through the latest comments, look out for solutions, participate in a conversation or upload a picture by using your mobile device.
- "Mouse over“: The desktop version offers „mouse over“ functionality. So by placing your mouse on an user’s name, the profile will automatically pop-up.
- Individual avatars: You’ve been asking for it, now you get it! You will be able to upload your individual avatar. Please note that for pictures the same rules applies as for postings. We reserve the right to delete inappropriate pictures. Of course the current UPC avatars are still available.
- Delete your Account: In case you’ll be leaving the Community (which of course we always highly regret), you may delete your account (go to „My Settings“, „My Profile“). While all your personal information will be deleted, your comments, likes and solutions will remain for the good of the Community. Your user name will be replaced by “Ex-Community Member”.
Additional Features
In the coming weeks we will be further optimize the design, work on the content and gradually add new features such as an FAQ functionality or an individual entry page. And we will take the opportunity to clean up a bit in the back-end.
We hope you will enjoy the newly designed Community, too! Let us know what you like or miss. Looking very much forward to reading your comments!
