Complete freedom for mobile browsing, making calls and sending texts – now with even more data, in Europe too! The new UPC Mobile Unlimited subscriptions are available from tomorrow, April 6, 2017.
Listening to music on the train to block out the stress of commuting, watching the finale of your favourite series that you missed on Replay or making your friends in your WhatsApp group jealous with photos of your holiday. We do all of these things on the go on our mobile phones and this trend is on the rise. So that your smartphone doesn’t run out of energy during all this, we have packed even more data into our Mobile Unlimited subscriptions.
Twice as much surfing fun and data roaming in the EU
- With the Mobile Unlimited 1,000 and 4,000 subscriptions, you now get twice as much data for mobile high-speed surfing, while Mobile Unlimited 10,000 offers 2,000MB more than previously.
- The data used by WhatsApp within Switzerland will not be deducted from the High Speed data volume included in the relevant subscription. Only applies for text messages, photo and video files and audio recordings. WhatsApp calls and video chats are not included.
- If you take out a 12-month contract, the SIM card fee of CHF 49.- will be waived. Without a minimum contract period, CHF 49.- will be charged for the SIM card activation fee as in the past.
- The medium and large Mobile subscriptions now include EU data roaming. You will be informed by text message once the data has been used up. If you want, you can continue to surf at the normal rates (CHF 0.30/MB in the EU).
Tips for saving money: Do you want to continue using data in the EU? Then activate the “Mobile Data Pack” roaming package (SMS with EUROPE 250 to 872) for an additional 250 MB of data. Or activate the roaming limit in My UPC to avoid unwanted roaming costs. This is set to CHF 100.- as standard, but you can change it to suit your budget.
- The cancellation period is 30 days for all of the new Mobile subscriptions. Now, you can cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice and do not need to wait until the end of the month as in the past. Unless, of course, you choose a subscription with a minimum contract period.
CHF 10 Combine & Save discount
You can switch from an old Mobile subscription (Unlimited, Start, Plus, Super) to one of the new UPC Mobile Unlimited subscriptions without any problem. Check the minimum contract period for your current subscription.
If you already have an Internet subscription with a speed of at least 100 Mbit/s and take out a new Mobile Unlimited subscription, you will automatically receive a monthly discount of CHF 10.-. This will continue for as long as you have the required Internet subscription.
