I’ve been having persistent problems with my old @swissonline.ch account in New Outlook for Windows.
The mailbox itself works normally in Hispeed webmail. In Outlook, however, the IMAP connection repeatedly drops. At first I could reconnect it using Repair, but only temporarily. Now sign-in sometimes hangs completely and Repair can also fail.
My current settings are:
Sunrise Security Operations previously confirmed there was an issue with the IMAP certificate chain, which they say has now been resolved. Despite that, the connection problems in New Outlook continue.
I have already:
Webmail continues to work, so the mailbox itself appears to be fine.
Has anyone else had recent problems with imap.hispeed.ch, especially in New Outlook?
I’m also wondering whether the better long-term solution is simply to move away from the legacy @swissonline.ch mailbox and use a new @sunrise.ch address instead.
If so:
Can an existing @swissonline.ch mailbox permanently forward incoming mail to a new Sunrise address?
Where exactly is that forwarding setting in the current Hispeed webmail? I cannot find it.
Can I still reply using the old @swissonline.ch address as the sender, or would replies come from the new @sunrise.ch address?
Any recent experience with this would be very useful.
