Transfer eSIM to a new phone when outside CH

Hello,

Right now, I am living in France but I have to get a new iPhone here.

I am not sure if it is possible for me to transfer my eSIM from my old iPhone to the new one when I am in France, or I have to get back to Switzerland to activate it?

Does anyone know that?

I can’t answer specifically about Sunrise, but I’ve transferred a UK eSIM while here in Switzerland without issue.
