Out of town: can I overpay my sunrise bill?

Hello, I will be out of town without internet access for a few months. When I receive my monthly bill by QR Rechnung , can I overpay the bill meaning pay more than requested to cover the next 3 months. ? Please note that I want to stay with QR Rechnung I want nothing to do with eBill.

I doubt that’s possible.

I am not sure how you pay your bills.

If you use online banking, schedule the payments upfront. The QR ref will be the same on each bill, and if the amount stays the same every time, you should be fine. Just make the payments 10 days earlier then usual.

thank you @Xydocq for taking the time to answer. Unfortunately, that does not answer my question. The question is when I scan the QR code, can I change the amount.

The QR Code contains the same information as the QR slip. Since the QR code is just information you should be able to change the amount once the information shows up on your scheduled transactions.

I never scan the QR Code, I copy the old payment and change the date and the amount accordingly.

louis43 Yes, if you pay your QR bill online, you can adjust the amount to pay the months you’ve been away.

However, if you’re paying at the post office, I recommend this link. You can easily create a new QR bill there with your chosen amount. You can carry over all the details from your existing QR bill.

louis43 Correct - if you only have fixed costs, you can pay the monthly fees in advance.
