Network in the region overloaded in the evening

I play Counter-Strike and have problems with latency every evening from 8 p.m. onwards. I have already switched the router to IPv4 and I only use it as a modem.

I use a UniFi Max Gateway as my router, which I have already switched to UniFi Smart Queues. This means I only have about 600 Mbit down and 80 Mbit up, but it has improved buffer bloat.

Unfortunately, there is nothing more I can optimize on my end.

Nevertheless, the problems continue to occur between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. I live in Neuenegg and know other gamers in the village who had the same problems and therefore switched to copper. Unfortunately, I don’t have that option.

The technician measured the signal strengths. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do much because our house doesn’t have an amplifier, as we only have a single TV socket—to which the router is connected. To improve the signal strengths, an amplifier would have to be installed. Therefore, the technician only replaced the coaxial cable from the modem to the socket—which, of course, did not change the jitter, packet loss, and bufferbloat of the network.

We still have segment overload —which even smart queues or new cables cannot magically fix

And now from 8:00 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.

Now the overload really starts. Smart Queues are on and limited to 50% of actual bandwidth. The measurement is without any load on my part.

Since there is no longer a copper line leading to my house and our village is stuck somewhere in the 20th century and doesn’t know what fiberglass is, I unfortunately have no other option but to use the coaxial cable. But thank you very much for your help.
