I have received a promotional email from Sunrise saying that Comet browser is now available in addition to Perplexity subscriptions. However Comet page requires special invitation. I cannot download it while being signed in with my Perplexity account. Kindly advise how to get Comet.

Did you try this link https://www.perplexity.ai/download-comet ? You should be able to join the waiting-list. Once done you’ll get an email confirming you have been added to the waiting list.

I have no clue how soon soon is.

This waiting list was possible before Sunrise entered the partnership and offered the voucher. Their latest email says the browser is NOW available to their customers (as part of their deal). I didn’t figure out how to install it. Hopefully someone from Sunrise explains tomorrow.
