I have had a rule to forward ports 80 and 443 to certain machine in my local network which has worked perfectly well, using IP4 etc. Today I needed to forward those ports to another machine.
- remove the old rules
- try adding new exact same rules for the new internal IP (instead of 192.168.1.4 use 192.168.1.3) both are static ip’s not served by modems DHCP
when trying to define the rules every possible combination says “the rule is overlapping”
It feels like the previous rule is still somehow active even though I have restarted the modem. I wouldn’t want to factory reset the modem either as it might get a new IP from the sunrise network. I doubt there’s anything wrong with the modem except it fails to actually remove previous rules completely.
Someone was able to fix the error by getting a new modem from sunrise, but it might have worked just because there’s no earlier rules in the new modem.
