Low transfer speed between my win11 PC and my Bluesound streamer streamer

Hello,

For a few days I have connected both my laptop and my - new - streamer via Ethernet cables connected to my Connect Box 3 Fiber. The goal being to ensure very fast files (music) transfer from the PC to the streamer’s hard drive.
Everything worked well and fast for a couple of days, with nice transfer speeds oscillating around 10Mb/sec.
But since yesterday the transfer speed has dramatically decreased, oscillating between 1mB/sec and 0 (zero) Kb/sec… tough I have not made any hardware or software changes.

Any idea about how I could solve this?

Hello Daniele,

Yes and no, actually.
I bought a NetGear managed switch, connected the computer and the streamer to the switch and the switch to the connect box.
I then gave the switch ports I use for the computer and for the streamer both the highest priority.
That provides stable transfer speeds.
