The Connect Box 3 FIBRE should not block any outgoing ports.
One thing you can look into, is your connection running on IPv6 or IPv4? To do so, log in to your Connect Box 3 and have a look at Admin > Information it should tell you, if you get a public IPv6 or IPv4 address.
If it states IPv6, you might want to call 0800 707 707 and request a switch to IPv4. This might solve the issue.
