I received the convection box 3, so I should get now 2.5Gb/s. Before upgrading I checked that the area where I live was covered: it is, with 2.5Gb/s.

I connected my MAC MINI PRO m4 via a cable 7 directly to the connect box 3 (2.5Gb/s Ethernet connection). I stopped any antivirus, firewall…

The test results are pretty consistent whichever app I use. Enclosed please find the results using cnlab ux.

So far everything looks fine to me, except you don’t have a 2.5Gbit/s LAN connection.

It states 1.0G. Please keep in mind only port 4 on the Connect Box 3 HFC is capable of 2.5Gbit/s.

Well, I have the connect box 3 linked with my Mac Mini pro M4 via a class 7 cable. And see the picture, the cable is connected to port 4.

Why the connect box sends out only 1 Gb/s

are you sure your Mac Mini is set to have a 2.5Gbit/s connection? Usually it sells with a 1Gbit/s NIC unless you add the 10Gbit/s option.

You are spot on!!! amazing… I did not know it was an optional (the 10Gbps) on the Mac mini M4 pro…

So I used my router (ASUS Zen Wi-Fi AX), connected to the connect box 3 using the 2.5Gbps respective ports. If I run the “internal test” ASUS provides (based on Speedtest I believe), the max speed is 1.2Gbps.

Why not close to 2.5Gps?

I got similar speeds with my ASUS XT8 AX6600

There’s a known issue with some devices connected to Port 4 of the Connect Box 3. Some work just fine, some work somehow and some don’t work at all. The AX is one that works somehow.

The Belkin adapter should provide speeds up to 2Gbit/s down and 100Mbit/s up.

Xydocq I got exactly 2 gbps download and 100mbps upload using the Belkin 2.5gbps adapter.

Unfortunately there’s no such list.

Currently we know of two switches working with the Connect Box 3 on Port 4. Zyxel MG-105 and the Ubiquiti Flex mini 2.5Gb. Adding a WIFI 7 AP to a switch should work.

Xydocq Unfortunately the Ubiquiti Flex mini 2.5Gb did not provide any benefit…still stuck with 1.2gbps on my ASUS ROUTER. Not sure if there is anything else I could do.
