Not sure if this is the right place to ask for this, but on the phone nobody understands what I ask. They just told me they are sending me a new connect box (which, I suppose, will be configured exactly as the current one).

I must disable IPv6, use ONLY IPv4 and enable bridge/modem mode so to be able to access my network (VPN + other services) from outside

How can I get this done?

Usually it is enough to call 0800 707 707 and request a change to IPv4.

Regarding Bridge or Modem Mode, that’s not possible.

Since your connection is DSL you’re free to use your own hardware and are not forced to use the Connect Box 3 DSL. So maybe, you’ll have to get a DSL Modem to be able to use your own hardware and also request the SIP information, if you’re using a landline phone.

Well I called 0800 707 707 already 3 times but it seems they do not understand what IPv4 and 6 are.

Also, I used bridge mode with my previous router (connect box 2) until 6 days ago. Why can’t I use it now?

I could be wrong, but I guess the Connect Box 3 DSL doesn’t have this feature. The DSL Modem coming with the Connect Box 3 DSL only supports the Connect Box 3 DSL, so you can’t just use this device.

Maybe I am wrong. On the box there is written only Connect box 3, no dsl.

You stated on your first post, that you have a DSL-Version.

I am not a Sunrise employee, so I am not able to figure out what type of Connect Box 3 you are talking about.

If you have a Connect Box 3 HFC, that’s the one connected to the TV-outlet. You’ll see Modem Mode once IPv4 is activated. To my knowledge that’s the only version of the Connect Box 3, that offers Modem Mode.

Well, after a dozen calls with multiple people from support, IPV4 is still not available/not working.

I suppose I can now cancel my contract and change ISP, correct? Any recommended alternative to sunrise?

Finally level 2 support was able to fix it. Now IPv6 is disabled, IPv4 is in place, bridge mode is setup and all is working.
