Unlike “Punisher” the fictional character from the Marvel Comics who violently hunts down criminals, our @Punisher is thankfully helpful and committed to hunting down solutions. Find out what else drives him here in his profile.
@Punisher became one of the new superusers in our German-language forum in September 2016. He came to the attention of the Community due to his active involvement – and his nickname. Which leads us to our first question:
Is “Punisher” your favourite superhero?
Apart from the film “Punisher” with Thomas Jane, I’m not really a big fan of superheroes (i.e. Marvel Comics). Obviously “The Walking Dead” is also a comic, but it’s really hardcore 😉
While Marvel’s “Punisher” hunts down bad guys, our @Punisher hunts down good solutions for you.
So, what else do we really need to know about you?
I like helping people, if I can. And I’ve always been interested in the Internet and technology. How, what, where and why things work like they do. Finding the answers is a daily challenge.
You’ve been a superuser now for a good three months and doing great. What do you love most about your role?
What I love most about being a superuser is that I get to glimpse behind the scenes of UPC. And continue to help other users here. It’s also interesting communicating with other superusers and being in contact with the moderators.
What is your technical field of expertise?
If anything, hardware. I’ve always loved building computers for myself and my friends. That’s what sparked my interest in the Internet, technology and networking.
And what is your expert opinion on the following: What came first, the chicken or the egg?
The egg, of course. For without the egg there would be no chicken and no UPC 😛
Talking about UPC: Tell us about your funniest or weirdest experience with us!
Technical support: “Pull out the plug for 10 seconds and then reboot the device.” It’s such a standard line and always makes me laugh when I call technical support :smileyvery-happy:
