Cisco Umbrella breaks websites certificates

HI all, I have issues with websites certificates, most of time they’re OK. Sometimes all sites are not available necause browser shows certificate error. By checking the certificate it’s clear that Cisco Umbrella is acting as man in the middle.

I can bypass this using a VPN, but it’s still annoying.

A think I cannot do much to solve it, any chance to have help from support?

Cisco Umbrella is a DNS based security service. It’s designed to block access to malicious websites.

In general Cisco Umbrella has nothing to do with the Connect Box 3 HFC.

One thing you can do: sign in to your MySunrise account and see if surf protect home is enabled. In case it is, disable it.
